Buttons arrived at our shelter in February 2026 after his previous owner faced health challenges, requiring frequent hospital visits. This 5-year-old male cat is a gentle soul who has had a bit of a rough transition, making him understandably cautious in new environments. He's a shy boy who can be nervous, often greeting newcomers with a hiss and occasionally striking out when he feels uncertain. However, we're optimistic that once he settles into a stable, quiet home, he'll gradually warm up to attention and reveal his true, affectionate nature.
He's known for being a bit of a wanderer, so he needs access to both indoors and a secure outdoor garden, safely away from busy roads, to satisfy his curious spirit. While he's had a minor dental scrape during his stay here, he's otherwise in good health and ready to find his forever family.
