Daffy is a chatty fellow who is very curious about the world, full of personality and in the business of making friends, not foes unlike his Quacky comedic namesake. This 1 year and 7 month old male cat is quick to waddle into new environments and likes to say hello. If you have the time to give him the cuddles he wants, he will reward you with friendly head bumps in return.
Dangly toys are a favourite of his, and this energetic boy would love a home that wants to play as much as he does. Be mindful, though, as sometimes he can get a bit over excited and give the odd nibble. He does have a sensitive side too and can get worried sometimes, so he would like a home that can take things at his pace while he finds his way.
Daffy arrived at Mayhew at the end of February after he was abandoned outside of Mayhew. He has been behaviourally assessed by our cattery staff and given any medical treatment required by our veterinary team. Daffy has had treatment for Cat Flu symptoms, including antibiotics which have worked well. Things should be monitored as symptoms could possibly recur, so care should be sought from your own vet in these scenarios. He has also had some dental treatment, including the extraction of a "double tooth", which has healed well. We noted he has some mild gingivitis. He had some antiinflammatory meds as well as a clean of his teeth to help with this, and this should also be monitored to make sure it doesn't get any worse. He currently needs no further treatment and is just looking for a loving place to call home.
All cats leave our care microchipped, neutered, and have been given flea and worming treatment as well as any vaccinations (at least first). Every cat adopted from us will also go home with 4 weeks free pet insurance.
