Gus is a charming three year old Domestic Short Hair gentleman who arrived at our shelter in March 2026 after being found as a stray. He's settling into shelter life with the grace of a cat who's seen a thing or two, vocalising his thoughts (he's got opinions, and he's not afraid to share them) and tucking into his meals with gusto. Gus enjoys human contact, but he's a cat of refined tastes who prefers to accept fuss and affection strictly on his own terms and in his own time. Think of him as the feline equivalent of a distinguished professor who appreciates visitors but doesn't want to be rushed.
He's come through his stray days with a clean bill of health, showing no medical conditions whatsoever. Once he's settled into his forever home, he'll be eligible for full insurance, giving his new family peace of mind.
Gus is looking for a home that understands his unique personality and background. His ideal family would:
Gus has no medical conditions and is in excellent health. He can be fully insured after rehoming, ensuring any future vet visits are covered.
Gus is ready to meet his match. If you think you can offer this vocal, affectionate (on his own schedule) stray the patient, loving home he deserves, come visit him at the shelter. Just remember to let him set the pace he's a gentleman, after all.
