Katya is a sweet, gentle soul who knows exactly what she wants in life. She arrived at Mayhew at the start of February along with two of her kittens after her owner was emigrating and couldn't take them with her. Now, this lovely lady is ready to find a home where she can truly shine.
She is fairly self contained and likes to march to the sound of her own drum, but don't let that fool you. Once she gets to know you, she'll be sitting by your side, offering friendly head bumps and leg rubs with a quiet confidence that's utterly charming. Katya is a sensitive girl with tons of potential to really make her mark and be the loving companion you've always wanted. Katya has been behaviourally assessed by our cattery staff and given any medical treatment required by our veterinary team. All cats leave our care microchipped, neutered, and have been given flea and worming treatment as well as any vaccinations (at least first).
She has a blocked tear duct, which means she does have a bit of a watery eye from time to time. This just needs to be kept clean so it doesn't cause irritation or get any worse.
We have also seen some evidence to show she is a carrier of cat flu. This means she may have the odd flare up occasionally, but it doesn't always mean she will need any actual additional treatment if she does. For now, she just needs monitoring and a happy home.
