Link is around 7 years old and, by all accounts, emotionally ancient. He is a cat who knows exactly who he is and has no intention of pretending otherwise. This dignified fellow enjoys long naps, lots of food, playful bursts of energy, and keeping a watchful eye on the world from a comfortable distance. He can be antisocial, hisses when startled or irritated, and is not the sort of cat who wants cuddles or constant interaction. That said, Link is not aggressive. In fact, he has never attacked anyone, he is simply very clear about his feelings and likes life to be calm, predictable, and on his terms.
While Link may come across as aloof, he does enjoy play and has plenty of energy when the mood takes him. He has never been outside before, but outdoor access after settling in may help give him the stimulation and freedom he needs. Currently living with a female cat who is a year younger than him, he really does not enjoy her company, so he will need to be the only pet in the home. If you are the kind of person who respects boundaries, appreciates a quiet life, and can find the humour in a cat who communicates with the occasional hiss and growl, Link could be the one for you. He may not be overly affectionate, but for the right person, his independent nature and playful side will make him a wonderfully unique companion.
