Master Shifu is an incredibly affectionate young lady, ready to teach you the ways of Kung Fu-ss. This friendly one year and five month old girl adores her cuddles and will happily clamber onto your lap or even try to perch on your shoulders for a better view of her domain. She can get a bit overstimulated and might give the odd nip, but she's just a spirited soul looking for a place to call home where she can truly live up to her masterful name. She could thrive with some apprentices (AKA children) who respect her methods and enjoy playful training sessions. Master Shifu arrived at Mayhew in mid February after being found as a pregnant stray. She has been thoroughly assessed by our cattery staff and received all necessary medical care from our veterinary team. Sadly, her kittens did not survive, but she has bravely moved forward. On arrival, she showed signs of Metritis, an infection and inflammation of the uterus, and was in late pregnancy, requiring emergency surgery. Following the procedure, she was treated with a week of antibiotics and has made a full recovery. Rest assured, Metritis will not return or affect her future, as her uterus was fully removed during her neutering.
Master Shifu is microchipped, neutered, and has received flea and worming treatments along with at least her first vaccinations. She has fully recovered from Metritis and the related emergency surgery, with no ongoing health issues expected.
