Sooty is a gorgeous black Domestic Short Hair girl, aged 2 years and 4 months, with a personality as soft as her fur. She came into rescue because she didn't get along with the dog in her previous home, but since moving into foster care, she has blossomed. She now lives happily with the resident male cat—they love playing together—so she'd be thrilled to share her new home with another friendly feline.
Sooty is naturally shy and sensitive. In new environments or around new people, she'll likely hide until she feels safe. But with patient adopters who give her time and space, her lovely personality will shine. Once she trusts you, she's incredibly sweet and affectionate in her own gentle way. She enjoys sitting with her humans and will seek out attention when relaxed. She also has a playful side, especially with toys she can chase, bat, or pounce on.
Food is the way to Sooty's heart! She absolutely loves treats, biscuits, and mealtimes. Dreamies are a surefire way to build her confidence. She currently enjoys Whiskas wet food, Blink cat food, Dreamies treats, and dry biscuits like Nood. She prefers clumping cat litter but isn't fussy. Although she had outdoor access before, she rarely went out.
