Domestic Short Hair·9 years, 6 months·♂ Male·BlackWhiteGinger┊Tabby
Blaze is a strikingly handsome nine and a half year old Domestic Short Hair who has earned the nickname 'Mr Darcy' for his confident yet charmingly particular ways. Admitted in May 2025, this independent gentleman loves attention and fuss, but always on his own terms. He is a cat full of personality, ready to bring warmth and character to a quiet home. Following surgery to remove his ear canals due to otitis, Blaze is now deaf, but he is already learning sign language in his foster home and has mastered three words so far.
Blaze has current and historical medical concerns, including otitis (resolved with ear canal removal) and a heart murmur. These require careful consideration before rehoming. Our team will provide detailed information to successful matches, and we advise discussing any medical issues with your own vet prior to adoption. He thrives with enrichment, such as biscuit ball feeders, which he absolutely loves.
Blaze is currently in a foster home and will be allocated a temporary unit at the centre on the day of book out. While most cats find cattery environments stressful, his confident and sociable nature makes him suitable for a meet prior to rehoming. If you have a calm home, a secure outdoor space, and room in your heart for a cat with character, Blaze could be your perfect match.

Hi, I'm Blaze! I'm a dashing nine and a half year old gentleman with a nickname like 'Mr Darcy' for good reason. I love attention and cuddles, but I prefer to call the shots on my own terms. My world is quiet now after some ear surgery, but I'm learning sign language and have three words down already.
My ideal Sunday involves a lazy morning with some fuss, then exploring my secure garden through the cat flap, followed by a fun session with my biscuit ball feeder for dinner.
A fun fact about me is that I'm a known hunter who might bring you a little 'present' now and then, so you'll never doubt my natural instincts.
