Kiki is a wonderfully fluffy and gentle girl with a soft, sweet nature. She can be a little shy at first and likes to take her time getting to know new people, but once she feels safe, her affectionate personality truly shines. Kiki loves quiet companionship and makes a comforting, loyal presence in the home. With a bit of patience and kindness, she'll reward you with cuddles, trust, and a devoted friendship. She's the perfect companion for someone looking for a calm and loving cat to share their days with. Due to her breed, Kiki will need her eyes and face wiping daily and regular grooming, luckily she loves having this done!
Duchess Kiki has historic and current medical concerns, namely a history of vomiting and cat flu, cystitis, and a heart murmur, that will require consideration before she is rehomed. Our rehoming team will be able to give you further information if you apply to rehome this pet and you are a successful match. We would also advise that any medical concern, be that historic or ongoing, is discussed with your own vet prior to any book out appointment.
As a Persian breed, Kiki has extreme conformation, meaning that her body features are exaggerated, including a flat face and shorter nose (brachycephalic). These characteristics can negatively affect health and welfare, such as difficulty breathing and struggling in the heat. While not every cat will suffer these problems, it's important to stop and think before adopting. Due to these health issues regularly affecting certain breeds, you may face higher insurance and veterinary costs even if your pet is unaffected. See here for more information: Persian cats and brachycephaly – International Cat Care (https://icatcare.org/articles/persian-cats-and-brachycephaly). If you're thinking about welcoming this type of cat to your family, we recommend you do your homework to ensure you're prepared. Our veterinary team always gives all pets a health check, and you will be told about any health problems we identify. Our expert team will be happy to talk to you if you have any questions about the care Duchess Kiki might need.
If you're interested in adopting Duchess Kiki, please apply through our rehoming process. Our team will provide detailed information and discuss her needs to ensure a perfect match.
