Are you ready to meet our take on a British classic? Well, in that case, let us serve you up some Banga & Masha. These handsome boys are looking for someone to come dine with them and are aiming for top marks when it comes to winning over some new humans. They arrived at Mayhew at the start of February after their owner was emigrating and could not keep them any longer, but they've quickly settled in with their charming antics.
Banga and Masha are very friendly and affectionate, loving their fuss and cuddles with a playful twist. They will often compete to give you headbutts, and if they aren't nudging you, they are giving each other some head bumps to reaffirm their strong bond. You'll often find them snuggled up together or engaging in playful games, making them a delightful duo for a home that enjoys some fun and games. They would be fine living with kids who appreciate friendly strokes and cheek rubs, adding to the lively atmosphere. So, if you're all about having some cats over for tea, keep reading to see if you could be their purr-fect match and give them both the fur-ever home they deserve.
They have been behaviourally assessed by our cattery staff and given any medical treatment required by our veterinary team. All cats leave our care microchipped, neutered, and have been given flea and worming treatment as well as any vaccinations, at least the first dose. Lastly, every cat adopted from us will also go home with 4 weeks free pet insurance, giving you peace of mind as you welcome them into your family.
Both Banga and Masha are deaf, meaning they rely on visual cues and vibrations, so a quiet, safe environment is ideal. Banga arrived with an eye abnormality where the eye was half fused shut; we have surgically released the fusion, but he will likely always have an abnormality there. The original cause is unknown, possibly from an infection in infancy or a congenital issue, and it will need monitoring alongside discussion with your vet about future treatment if needed. Additionally, Banga has a kink at the end of his tail, which causes no pain and should not cause any problems. We are actively working on their toileting issues to help them adjust better in a new home.
To meet Banga and Masha, visit Mayhew where they are currently cared for. They are ready for adoption and come with all necessary medical treatments and insurance. Bring your love for tea and cuddles to see if these charming boys are the perfect addition to your home!
