Cook is on a culinary adventure and is hoping you will be his next sous chef. He has already mastered the art of making biscuits and is keen to show anyone who is interested! He might be a little bit shy to begin with but once he has settled he will come over and tell you all about his secret recipes. We suspect Cat nip may be one of the special ingredients. But what we do know is that plenty of play time with a side order of cuddles also means you get a five star review. So if you are looking to add this Michelin Star man to your kitchen brigade, keep reading to see if you could be his purr-fect match and give him the fur-ever home he deserves…
Cook arrived at Mayhew at the middle of January due to his owner being allergic to cats. He has been behaviourally assessed by our cattery staff and given any medical treatment required by our veterinary team. All cats leave our care microchipped, neutered and have been given flea and worming treatment as well as any vaccinations (at least first). Lastly, every cat adopted from us will also go home with 4 weeks free pet insurance. On arrival Cook was seen to have some juvenile gingivitis. As part of his treatment he is on some anti inflammatory medication and had a scale and polish of his teeth. Juvenile gingivitis often improves with age, but it can recur and if left untreated, may make some cats more prone to dental disease later in life. Cats with this history sometimes require dental cleaning or tooth extractions as adults, depending on how their teeth and gums develop but things could also settle down and he need no additional treatment at all.
