Iana is a sweet, healthy 9-year-old black British Shorthair, fully black apart from a small tuft of white hair on her chest that adds a touch of charm. Despite her age, she is very kitten-like and spends all day playing with her toys, proving that youth is a state of mind. She is extremely affectionate and loves attention, purring just at the sight of you and flopping down next to you for a cuddle. She even loves her tummy being rubbed, a rare treat in the feline world.
She is a little nervous in new environments, having spent the first 9 years of her life with the same owner, but she has settled in with her fosterer very quickly. When she is nervous, she can easily be won over by some treats and has never tried to even scratch or hiss, showing her gentle nature. Iana is an accomplished huntress, so she would do best having access to a safe garden, wearing a breakaway quick-release collar with a bell, of course. However, she appears to be quite happy being strictly indoors in foster care, making her adaptable to different lifestyles.
Iana has not lived with children before, but her friendly, calm demeanour suggests she could do well in a family setting. She has lived with a spaniel before and got on well, so she could live with a dog; she also could get on well with another friendly cat. Iana was adopted with her brother when they were kittens. Iana was the runt of their litter, and their owner spent a lot of time with her to create a home they’re happy in. They got along famously until he sadly passed away 4 years ago. Lately, her owner’s health has taken a turn for the worse, leaving them with no other choice but to surrender Iana to us so we can find her a loving new home.
Iana is a healthy 9-year-old cat with no specific medical needs mentioned. She is fully black with a small tuft of white hair on her chest.
Iana is currently in foster care and has settled in quickly. She is available for adoption to find her a loving new home after being surrendered due to her previous owner's health issues.
