Kiki is a big handsome boy with a sensitive, loving nature who arrived at Mayhew in mid-February after his previous owners moved and couldn't take him with them. He can sometimes be a bit unsure of things when you first say hello, but it doesn't take him long to invade your personal space and head bump your face. He is quite a dribbly fella who will sit on your lap and enjoys lots of fuss and cuddles along the way too. He is a very loving boy who just wants to get to know you, and his little sad chirrup is enough to melt the hardest of hearts.
Kiki has been behaviourally assessed by our cattery staff and given any medical treatment required by our veterinary team. During his stay, we noticed that he had been overgrooming around his tail and back end. This seems to be improving, but no definitive cause has been found. It could be down to stress, which would also explain why he did sometimes toilet outside of his tray in his previous home as well. His toileting is all back to normal, and he seems to prefer using wood pellet litter. He needs no treatment but did have a long lasting steroid injection to help with his skin just in case.
All cats leave our care microchipped, neutered, and have been given flea and worming treatment as well as any vaccinations (at least first). Every cat adopted from us will also go home with 4 weeks free pet insurance. If Kiki is the lovebug you've been looking for, come meet him to see if you could be his purr-fect match and give him the fur-ever home he deserves.
