Other Notes Kitty arrived at Mayhew at the beginning of December after her owners ill health meant they could no longer care for her. She has been behaviourally assessed by our cattery staff and given any medical treatment required by our veterinary team. All cats leave our care microchipped, neutered and have been given flea and worming treatment as well as any vaccinations (at least first). Lastly, every cat adopted from us will also go home with 4 weeks free pet insurance. Kitty Has recieved some dental treatment while at Mayhew from which she has recovered well. Kitty struggled to settle in our cattery and environment which managed with medication which we have continued to use while she has been in foster care. To manage her stress during changes in his environment we will be rehoming her on this medication and any adopter will be offered behavioural advice from our behaviourist once she goes home.
Foster Carer Comments Kitty arrived with me as a very, very timid cat, but after 10 days I got the first mew and a sniff of my hand, that was a great moment! Since then she has grown in confidence every day, and she is magnificent!. She doesn't yet sit by me except once by my feet, but when she deigns to join me she purrs alot and has a pretty chirrupy purr. She's very chatty. She loves to be brushed and groomed, and will bat a few balls about in a slightly lazy way, after all she is 11 yrs old. I think she's a great companion, she just needs a peaceful home to find her feet and then I'm sure you will have a wonderful, undemanding and loving friend.
