Okapi

Okapi is a sweet soul who came to Mayhew with a difficult start, and needs some time to find her feet. She is on the worried side, and prefers to find a quiet spot in the jungle where she can feel safe. With some time, patience, and a calming presence, curiosity will get the better of her and she will say hello and enjoy a few head scratches. With her long stripey legs and inquisitive snout, she is waiting patiently for an all-adult habitat where she can settle down and show her full personality. Okapi arrived at Mayhew on Christmas Eve after she was left abandoned outside our vet clinic. She has been behaviourally assessed by our cattery staff and given any medical treatment required by our veterinary team. All cats leave our care microchipped, neutered and have been given flea and worming treatment as well as any vaccinations (at least first). Lastly, every cat adopted from us will also go home with 4 weeks free pet insurance.
