Striking Tiger is done exploring the wilderness and ready to settle into a new territory. This stripey feline can be on the sensitive side, and likes to take his time to settle in. Once he's settled, he becomes very confident and will claim the comfiest spot as his own. He enjoys attention and strokes but would also like to share his home with people who can give him space when he needs it to do his own thing, and he might let you know when that is with a little nip. This true King of the Jungle would prefer an all-adult home who can help him protect is kingdom. So, if you would like to welcome Tiger into his new forest habitat, then keep reading...
Other Notes Tiger arrived at Mayhew at the middle of December after his owner's ill health meant they could no longer care for him. He has been behaviourally assessed by our cattery staff and given any medical treatment required by our veterinary team. All cats leave our care microchipped, neutered and have been given flea and worming treatment as well as any vaccinations (at least first). Lastly, every cat adopted from us will also go home with 4 weeks free pet insurance.
Foster Carer Comments Tiger is a very affectionate boy. He loves to be close: he’ll give you head bumps, jump into your lap as soon as you sit down, and sleep close by in bed. He chirps as he purrs, and in the mornings, he won’t meow but will instead tuck himself into the crook of your arm or into your pillow. Tiger is chatty and very curious; he always wants to know what you’re up to – or better still, to sit in your lap while you do it. He likes his food and won’t hesitate to try your food either, given the chance. He’s very bright but can nip and scratch if he gets overstimulated. He just needs someone who knows cats and can follow his lead.
