Domestic Short Hair·1 year, 6 months·♀ Female·BlackWhite┊Spotted
Supreme Commander Matilda lives up to her title. She’s a friendly, confident cat who loves being at the centre of everything—whether that’s supervising your daily activities, greeting visitors, or generally making sure the household runs according to her rules. Matilda is people-oriented and bold, not the type to hide away when guests arrive. She enjoys interaction and will happily insert herself into whatever you’re doing, offering companionship (and oversight) in equal measure. She can get over-enthusiastic, especially if play escalates or boundaries aren’t clear. Because of this, she would be best suited to a home that understands cat body language and can provide appropriate, structured play. Matilda would thrive with people who appreciate a confident, characterful cat and are happy to engage with her on her terms. In the right home, she’ll be a loyal, entertaining presence and a true commander of hearts.
Needs settling in
Support and Health: Do I have any medical conditions? Existing conditions Matilda has current medical concerns, namely a heart murmur, that will require consideration before she is rehomed. Our rehoming team will be able to give you further information if you apply to rehome this pet and you are a successful match. We would also advise that any medical concern, be that historic or ongoing, is discussed with your own vet prior to any book out appointment.
Who I can live with: Can I live with dogs? Yes, conditionally - Will need to be a calm, quiet dog who will leave Matilda alone Can I live with cats? No Can I live with small pets? No Additional information Matilda is not a fan of other cats and so will need to be the only feline in the home. She is a hunter and so would be best in a home without small pets. She could live with a dog as she has met them in the past. She is a girl who knows her mind and she does not like dogs to bark at her or try to play with her and so the dog will need to be calm and quiet.
Family and environment: What kind of family am I looking for? Although Matilda thrives around people and is very sociable, she has been known to bite/scratch in the past. It is likely that this is a play behaviour and she is not good with knowing what is appropriate. We are therefore looking for a home with children 13yrs+. What type of environment would suit me? Matilda has been used to free access to the outdoors. It would be a good idea that she has this in her new home, either via a cat flap or open window to allow her to come & go and burn off her energy. She has lived in a low traffic area. Matilda is looking for a home with a low cat population as she would fight with neighbourhood cats, especially if they came in her garden.
